Lahiru Liyanage was born 1987 in a rural village in southern Sri Lanka. known to many as la malinde, he is a self taught photographer that has played an important role in Sri Lankan surf photography. He did his first photo exhibition "I have a palm tree problem" in 2024 with some of his iconic artworks caught many attention.
